How To Align Pre-printed Paychecks For Intuit Online Payroll?

To align pre-printed paychecks in QuickBooks basic payroll, you need to follow the below-given steps: 

  • In the first place, you have to select the Setup tab.
  • Next, from within the Preferences section, you need to select Paycheck Printing.
  • After that, in Paycheck Printing Settings, select Pre-printed QuickBooks-compatible voucher check stock.
  • Once you are done, select Print 2 stubs or Print 1 stub and hit OK. 
  • Select Open Alignment Window to proceed further. If you are using Chrome, you may see a blank page or a message to turn on Chrome plugins. In this case:
  1. From within Chrome browser, select the menu icon, located under the X button.
  2. Next, select Settings and then further select Advanced.
  3. Moving ahead, select Content settings > then again, select PDF documents.
  4. Make sure that, “Download PDF files instead of automatically opening them in Chrome” is turned off.
  • Now follow pop up window instructions to close it.
  • Select Align Checks and print the alignment page on plain paper.
  • Stack your printout on a piece of pre-printed check stock and try to hold them up to a light to correct the positioning.
  • Once you have printed, follow the instructions on the paper.
  • Now follow the below-given scenarios to choose the best-fit letters and numbers for the alignment.

Scenario 1: The Check Is Printing Too High

If the check is printing too high, and you have to align pre-printed paychecks in QuickBooks basic payroll, you need to choose a letter down the list to move the information down the page.

If the check is printing too low, then you need to choose a letter further up to move the information up the page.
