Steps to Modify Pay Schedules in QuickBooks Payroll

If you’re using QuickBooks Premium Payroll you are not allowed to edit the pay schedules from the Payroll Settings. For this, edit the same from Workers menu directly:

  • Click on the Workers
  • Choose Employees.
  • Select the Employee name and click on Edit (Pencil) icon.
  • Next, click on the Edit icon in the How often do you pay (employee)?
  • Fill up the correct pay period ending frequency.
  • Change the name of the pay schedule.
  • Select the Use this schedule for employees you add after (employee) checkbox.
  • Select an option if you’re creating a new pay schedule or updating schedule pay for the listed employee.
  • Click Continue and then Done.
